Saibhojan - “Annadanam Samam Danam Trilokeshu Na Vidhathe”
With the Divine Sankalpa of Grand Master Sai Viswachaitanya, Sai bhojan is one of the five services of “Pancha Seva Aratis” offered to Samartha Sadguru Shirdi Sai baba.
Initiated in 2004, till today Sai bhojan is incessantly feeding the hungry and needy. It is a divine blessing of Shirdi Sai baba to be a part of this Maha Yagna of Sacred offering.
Sacred offering of food is a divine blessing to remove Past Karma and bring Positivity on life. And also the offering pleases ancestors and helps them gain Moksha.
Saibaba Says Feeding hungry is a Sacred deed
Throughout his life, Shirdi Sai baba stressed the importance of feeding the hungry.
In our tradition the fire in the belly is considered as a yagnam and food as the oblation. This way the food consumed by a person becomes ahuti to parabrahma who resides within as bokta which undoubtedly reduces once past karmas.
Sai Bhojan the sacred offering of food is even called Jeevandan is a gesture of compassion towards fellow living beings. Thus the act is much more meritorious than performing thousands of Yagnas.
“Annadanam Samam Danam Trilokeshu Na Vidhathe”
These are the verses from the Vedas, meaning Annadanam is supreme and incomparable to any charity. Food is the basic requirement for all humans. Thus according to Vedas, the one who does annadanam to devotees, attains heaven (Punya Loka) in this Universe (Brahmanda) itself. In this whole universe, the creation and its progression depends on food. Hence giving food to the devotees is more than attaining heaven.

Serving Food to Hungry:
As part of Sacred Sai bhojan, food is distributed to hungry and needy at places like Governament Hospitals, Old age homes, Orphanages, Slum areas, Leprosy Colonies etc.,
A major landmark in Sai bhojan is “Leprosy Rehabilitation Project” served from the year 2004 to 2012 and provided monthly grossaries and food items needed for leprosy effected families in Leprosy colonies in India.

Serving Anna Prasad:
On the Auspicious day of Pournima and Amavasya Sacred Sai bhojan is distributed as Mahaprasad at several Punya Kshetras in India.
Saibhojan is regularly offered to devotees in pilgrimages like Shiridi, Kolhapuri, Srirangam, Tirupati, Srikalahasti, Panchamukha Ganesh Temple, Chidambaram, Kanipakam, Kasapuram, Tanjavur, Guruvayur and many other sacred places.
